In 2003, PROTON’s Motorsports Division, PROTON R3 began operations in Shah Alam. Born out of a passion for high performance vehicles, PROTON R3 specialises in the research, development and production of race and rally cars,
limited-edition R3 road cars and R3 accessories & parts.
PROTON R3 is made up of a team of professionals from various backgrounds encompassing engineering, product development, sales & marketing and public relations. The common factor that binds the team is our passion for cars and motorsports, driven by our motto “Redefining the Limits”.
The team has won some of the most prestigious motorsports events in the region. The primary focus is on Malaysian National Championship events which are, the “Malaysia Championship Series”, “Malaysian Rally Championship” &
“Sepang 1000KM Race”.
